IN 2020, during Supreme Court Justice Amy Coney Barrett's nomination hearings, Lot's Wife Chaplaincy, a local organization that serves queer and trans St. Louis adults, commandeered space in front of St. Louis City Hall. They were concerned with Barrett's objections to equal marriage. Over the course of four days, the chaplaincy married 16 couples.
