he Redruth Brewery had stood in Redruth for over 200 years, founded by Cornish businessmen William Davey, John Michell and Reuben Magor c1792. In its late 19thcentury heyday, the business owned more than 115 pubs and hotels. However, as a result of financial difficulties in the 1990s the pubs were sold off and the company was taken over in 1996, before finally closing in 2004.
