Sigma’s 24-70mm f/2.8 Art lens ticks all the boxes on the ‘trinity’ standard24-105mm on test. An advantage for handheld shooting is 4-stop optical stabilization, lacking in the own-brand Canon EF 24-70mm f/2.8 lens. Image quality is absolutely excellent, combining superb sharpness and contrast with beautiful bokeh. Colour fringing and distortions are minimal, and vignetting is quite low. The lens can also take advantage of automatic corrections in recent Canon cameras.
