If you want to use end-to-end encryption in Facebook Messenger, you’ll need to use your iPhone or iPad and begin a secret conversation. Start a chat in the usual way but toggle the lock icon in the top-right of the screen. You can then choose who you want to message but bear in mind that these conversations can only be viewed via iOS, iPadOS and Android.
