Running into the bedroom, with the most beautiful, luscious golden blonde curls flowing from her head, I knew what question was coming next.

‘Can you straighten my hair please, Mum?’ my daughter Bonnie, then seven, asked, with a brush already in hand.

Managing to get away with doing all sorts with her ringlets in the past, as Bonnie got a little older, she decided that she wanted the opposite.

Only, she was gorgeous either way.

Independent, bubbly, adventurous and appreciating the great outdoors, with her older brother Mason, now 13, and my hubby in tow, Bonnie loved getting out in the open.
