A network is great, but what if you want to connect two Macs and transfer information as fast as you can? Apple offers four built-in methods in macOS, none of which is obvious to set up. Each has different requirements, advantages, and tradeoffs. Once your Macs are connected, you use the same tools to transfer data between them as you would if they were connected to a network:
