SLEEPER trains between London and Scotland are now being provided by Scottish Rail Holdings (SRH), an arm’s length body wholly owned and controlled by the Scottish Government.
This follows a review of rail franchises in Scotland which resulted in a decision last October to terminate the Caledonian Sleeper (CS) franchise agreement with Serco. Earlier this year, the Scottish Government made the decision that SRH should operate the service, with the transfer happening on June 25.
