Record NEV Output

China’s 20 millionth new-energy vehicle (NEV) rolled off the production line on July 3 in Guangzhou, capital of Guangdong Province. The car was produced by GAC Aion New Energy Automobile Co. Ltd.

The Ministry of Industry and Information Technology made the announcement during a ceremony in celebration of the new record in Guangzhou.

“The NEV is the main direction of the transformation, upgrading and green development of the global automobile industry, and is also the strategic choice for the high-quality development of China’s automobile sector,” Xin Guobin, Vice Minister of Industry and Information Technology, said at the ceremony.
