Review

The United States’ interruption of Mexico’s dominance of the CONCACAF Champions League lasted just one season as Club Leon triumphed over Los Angeles FC in the 2023 final.

It was Leon’s first major continental title, and they became the14th Mexican club to have lifted the CCL or its predecessor, the CONCACAF Champions Cup. It meant Mexican teams have now won17 of the last 18 editions of the competition.
