More teams seal their spots at 2023 AFCON

Update

The last nine places at next year’s Africa Cup of Nations finals will be decided in September’s final round of fixtures with several former champions still waiting to make sure of their place in the 24-team field.

Ghana could have secured their berth after the penultimate round in June but were held away by a plucky Madagascar, while the Democratic Republic of Congo fired themselves back into contention with an impressive win in Gabon, spoiling the return of Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang to international football.
