GRATEFUL as I am for the discussion in Elliot Worsell’s article (Boxing News, June 29) of the emergence of OnlyFans sponsoring women boxers, there is nothing welcome about the sight of a female boxer at a weigh-in wearing nothing but body paint.
The message is clear: she is a sexual object first and a sportsperson second. It’s not harmless and the message to young female boxers is also clear: promote your body to promote yourself. There is a genuine danger this will become the norm in women’s boxing,
