IN THE age-old Sanskrit language, the word “phala” means “fruit”. It is the fruit, result or consequence – good or bad – of one’s actions.
In common parlance, based on the wisdom of Hinduism and Buddhism, we often invoke the phala or “karma” principle when we yearn to see people face the consequences of
