Councillor an agent for change

Allan Peterson said he was committed to changing the status quo of his community. He was speaking after winning the recent by-election in ward 11 and becoming the new councillor for Newlands East.

According to the IEC, the DA retained the seat it won in the 2021 municipal elections with 57.11% of the total votes cast, compared to 40.72% during the 2021 municipal elections. Voter turn-out for the by-election was 25.91%.
