SINCE the operation of the first main line tour using a Class 50 in private ownership on November 1, 1997, the Class 50 Alliance (C50LA) and the Fifty Fund are approaching a century of railtours, and to celebrate their 100th charter train, Pathfinder Tours have agreed to organise ‘The Pilgrim Centurion’ excursion from Swindon to Edinburgh on September 16 – which will also be the 50th Pathfinder tour
