Square Enix is turning away from its usual RPG fare in its next title, instead delivering a 4v4 multiplayer shooter involving foam. Yes, foam. Similar to the way ink is used in the Splatoon series, Foamstars has you using over-the-top-weapons to coat enemies and the world in coloured foam. This can then be surfed on for extra speed, used as a shield, or climbed on to reach greater heights.

A new gameplay reveal for the Spider-Man sequel out October 20 has landed. We know that Kraven the Hunter is the big bad. He has landed in New York targeting the likes of Spider-Man and Lizard. Peter Parker has been infected by Venom’s symbiotes, giving him tentacle-based moves in combat. The game switches between him and Miles Morales’ Spidey as the story requires, so you get to play as both. Miles Morales now has a wingsuit for gliding and new web techniques, too. The action set-pieces look incredible!
