DESIGNER SPOTLIGHT

LIAM YATES, WUDDL

Q Can you describe your business in a sentence?

I create handmade, sustainable wildlife houses in bright, modern designs that encourage nature into your garden.

Q How did you get to the point of having your own business?

I used to work as. By Christmas 2018, I had so many orders I had to rope in my girlfriend, Emma, and our families to fulfil them. I built a bigger garden workshop, gave up the day job and focused on Wuddl full-time, with Emma in charge of customer service and packing. I now make several different bee and butterfly houses, in three different colours of insect-friendly paint.
