Quilters Companion

Reflections

This quilt is made from the block Rob Peter to Pay Paul. The border print fabric on the borders is mitred to give a nice finish. Margaret has limited her colour palette to navy and cream, but you could substitute the navy for any other colour for an equally stunning result.

Finished size: 193cm (76in) square

Materials

• Assorted navy print fabrics to total about 2.8m (3⅛yd)

• Assorted cream print fabrics to total about 3.3m (3⅝yd)

• 2.3m (2⅜yd) navy and cream border print fabric. You will be cutting this fabric down the length of the fabric for the border. You need to be able to cut four matching strips across the width of the fabric. It doesn’t matter how wide the print repeat is — it will just modify the finished size of your quilt. Margaret used a fabric that had a printed repeat 8½in wide

• 75cm (⅞yd) navy and cream print fabric (binding)

• 4.5m (4⅝yd) backing fabric
