• ’s annual Sustainable Travel Report 2023 reveals that sustainable travel is high on the agenda for Kiwis, even with the rising cost of living.• Sustainable travel is important to four in five (68 per cent) Kiwi travellers, with over three-quarters (64 per cent) wanting to travel more sustainably over the next 12 months.• A quarter (29 per cent) are willing to pay more for travel options with a sustainable certification.• Another study by Intrepid Travel found that 86 per cent of travellers• 71 per cent of travellers agree that taking part in a sustainable travel experience that gives back to the community has a positive impact on the overall enjoyment of one’s holiday.
