It started off as a silly dare between a group of teenage boys.
Daniel Hawkins, Drake Ruiz and Jacob Ivascu were all good mates from primary school.
And on 19 January 2020, for Daniel’s 16th birthday, they’d gathered together for a sleepover with Daniel and Jacob’s younger brothers, both called Joshua, and another friend, Sergio Campusano, then 18.
