THE crowd welcomed Adrian Speight back with open arms as he defended his 2022 grand prix title to make it back-to-back wins with consistent campaigner Millfield Baloney.

“I’m over the moon. I pinch myself every day I’m on him,” said Adrian, who thrilled the crowd in his Coutts RHS 200 grand prix lap of honour.

Mark McGowan gave the 22 starters plenty to think about, with all but three combinations succumbing to the pressure as they fought to make the time allowance in the first round.

The only clears inside the time - Carmen Edwards and Happy Valerie, Mark Edwards and Flying
