As a jewellery specialist at an auction house, I feel privileged to handle some really stunning jewellery and precious stones. But choosing jewellery to wear is a very personal thing, and I keep coming back to these Scandinavian 20th-century designers, who worked mainly in silver.
The most famous is probably Georg Jensen from Denmark. He was influenced by the Scandinavian equivalent of the Arts and Crafts movement which wasGeorg Jensen brooch known as the ‘amoeba', designed by Henning Koppel in the 1960s.
