Brian, firstly please tell us about your nickname, ‘deAcTioNman’. Where did that come from?
I slowly became named deAcTioN Man because I always used the word for different situations. Then people and the media started calling me deAcTioN Man. It’s a word I use that is part of my way of life; that describes how I feel and energizes me. I use AcTioN to describe a situation; also to say good bye or hello. I use it in many different ways to express my feeling.
What is deAcTioN Island?
deAcTioN Island comprises all my apartments, surf school and bar and grill but it’s also about the vibe and energy that surrounds the place. I’ve also painted a fishing boat next to my shop with my art and spoken words which depict my heritage, ancestry and culture; it’s a museum showcasing my career and me as a professional waterman with some of my magazine covers and
