Hannah Porter knows how to win World Cups. A winner of two as a player, she oversaw the victorious 2017 Black Ferns campaign and, after being parachuted in from her role at High Performance Sport NZ at the start of 2022, managed the stunning triumph at least year’s tournament.
Now she’s taking on what may be one of the most important new roles in New Zealand Rugby as head of women’s high performance. She’s tasked with ensuring that both the Black Ferns Fifteens and Sevens teams keep winning while also putting in place the building blocks to cement the future of the women’s game. It’s a big role, broad in scope, but one for which Porter has a
