FROM THE ARCHIVES ISSUE 23: SALMAN SLAMS ON SLAM

James Turvey, who’s currently working on a book chronicling the history of Australian skateboarding magazines, takes us on a nostalgic journey back through the pages of Slam’s 23rd print issue, which hit the shelves way back in 1993.

The cover of Issue 23 features a black and white photo of Salman Agah taking a slam. The fingers of his left hand are bent right back as if he’s trying to avoid reinjuring whatever it is that caused him to wear the perma-cast that was so synonymous with his name at the time.

It is, in fact, the only issue
