1985 RHD Mini Mayfair (Wee Mae)
History: Imported to Canada, then stored for a decade
Spec: Very original car with a bit too much patina
My other Mini, Oscar, the Java Green 1979 car, has a stripped-out racer vibe. It sports an uprated 1275cc engine, stiff suspension, loud exhaust and zero soundproofing. All of its comforts have been discarded in favour of a raw driving experience. But this is not how Wee Mae will be.
I’m refurbishing Wee Mae for my lovely wife, Sherri, to drive back and forth to her job as a secretary at the local elementary school,shows and other events, but Wee Mae will not be modified to hot rod status.
