The Trigon-6 is a 6-voice storable analog synthesizer with Minimoog and Memorymoog borrowings: 3 oscillators per voice and a resonant cascade filter form the basis of the sound generation. The VCOs of the Trigon-6 are analog and discrete, as is the ladder filter, while the modulations are calculated digitally by a processor.
In a series with Prophet-6 and OB-6
Externally, the Trigon-6 corresponds to the other two models and is in the same housing. However, the wood with which the metal housing is covered is birch wood this time and is much lighter in comparison.
The semi-weighted 4-octave keyboard with 49 keys, velocity and aftertouch is also identical. Admittedly, not everyone will be happy with the mere four octaves. But this way the Trigon-6 could be kept halfway compact and the format has already proven itself with OB-6 and Prophet-6. These synthesizers could often be admired on stages all over the world.
