Fine time machine

There are many different ways to approach a restoration project – some get stuck in with the angle grinder the day the car arrives, others are a bit more considered and go over their purchase with a fine-tooth comb, making exhaustive notes and lists. Not many load their new car up with parts, rolled it into a storage unit and don’t open the door again for 26 years!

That’s exactly what Steve Richardson of Las Vegas did with this, 1959 Karmann Ghia coupe, after purchasing it in 1991. Come 2017, though, Steve finally decided it was time to give his ‘new’ car the attention it deserved.
