Old Gaffers four-day Diamond Jubilee

A large fleet of classic yachts and working boats will gather on the River Orwell, Ipswich in August to celebrate the 60th anniversary of the Old Gaffers Association (OGA) with a four-day Diamond Jubilee party.

The event, from 3-6 August, will see around 100 yachts in a magnificent parade of sail, with historic yachts such as Bonita, built by Crossfields of Arnside in 1888, and motor yacht Lilian, built in 1916, taking part. The event will welcome the fleet of 20 old gaffers, which set out from Ramsgate in May, on a three-month circumnavigation of Britain as part of the 60th anniversary celebrations.
