RASPBERRIES SEASON BY SEASON

GET GROWING

We'll continue the theme of summer fruit this month and look at that perennial favourite – raspberries. Hardy, relatively easy to grow and long-lived (a raspberry cane should stay productive for 10 years or more), they are a staple of any soft fruit garden. There are some pitfalls, however, so let's go through the gardening year and see how, with a little knowledge and TLC, we can get the very best crops of delicious fruit year after year.
