Move columns and rows by holding down Shift

You can rearrange columns and rows in spreadsheets by cutting and pasting them, but there’s a simpler way to move your data. First, highlight the cells you’d like to move ( in our screenshot below), then hold down the Shift key and move the cursor to the edge of. When the mouse pointer turns into a multi-directional arrow symbol, hold Shift and drag the column by clicking your mouse.
