Although there is plenty to catch the eye, it’s the exterior A colour which is the biggest talking point of this car because a white F is a bit of a rarity. Although fashionable in the 1980s, when all-white MG Metros and Montegos were de rigueur, it was not a popular shade for anything except vans in the late 1990s when this F was made, at least in the UK.

Despite this, MG offered two shades, mainly to satisfy export markets. The first was Diamond White (paint code NAL), which was one of the original five launch colours along with Flame Red, British Racing Green and thedelightfully bold Amaranth.
