How do you approach depicting one of fantasy literature’s most iconic characters? It’s nearimpossible to separate our image of Gollum from his previous incarnations, whether as a scheming riddler in Tolkien’s books or as a sympathetic monster in the films of Peter Jackson. Daedalic Entertainment clearly feels similarly, having recruited actor Wayne Forester to do a serviceable Andy Serkis impersonation while rooting his character in Tolkien’s love for riddles.
