Being in the great outdoors was something my husband Derrick and I always loved doing with our four kids, Emily, Piper, Avery and Stella.
We’d go hiking and fishing, enjoying every minute of our time together.
The youngest, Stella, ruled the roost. A huge animal lover, she nurtured all our pets, which included dogs, cats and bearded dragons.
In June 2021, when she was six, Stella started having severe headaches and getting a fever. The walk-in clinic suggested ibuprofen, but it did nothing.
