Bloodbath looms over jobs

Race law

A 48-YEAR-OLD community activist living in the Western Cape said the new race law conveyed the message that coloured people were not welcome in the province.

Vanessa Adriaanse, of Heideveld, is a mother of four who runs a non-profit advocacy group called Mothers for Justice.

This follows a report by Cape Forum and Solidarity on the impact of the draft Employment Equity Amendment Act regulations.

The proposed regulations were published for comment last month after the Employment Equity Amendment Act was signed into law by President Cyril Ramaphosa in April.
