Mhlakwana focused on personal Comrades goals

NKOSIKHONA Mhlakwana goes into tomorrow’s Comrades Marathon as one of the favourites to win the race.

The Hollywood Athletics Club star, who finished sixth last year for his first gold, after missing out in his maiden race in 2019 when his legs gave in during the final 500m when he was in ninth place, has grown in stature since then. The man from Howick was third at the Two Oceans Marathon in April and a lot is expected of him tomorrow.

Mhlakwana spoke to Matshelane Mamabolo in an exclusive interview about his readiness for the down run from Pietermaritzburg to Durban.
