WATCHES AND WONDERS 2023

It wasn’t long ago that questions were being asked about the value of big trade shows. Well, the latest edition of Watches and Wonders surely answered all the critics. With the Asian markets now able to attend, it was busier than ever, and I think the exhibitors and organisers were taken back by just how occupied they were. While there wasn’t a ‘star’ of the show, according to many of the attendees I spoke to, the sentiment was that it was a consistent year across the industry, with optimism the order of the day.

Let me share my top 10 watches from the fair.

Rolex Perpetual 1908

You thought I was going there. And I was tempted, but we have pushed the emoji Rolex Day-Date to one side to focus on something that feels more appropriate on these pages: the new Rolex 1908. It was the watch nobody asked for but most gravitated towards.
