Hold the Moto G13 in your hand and you’d never guess that it costs £150. It has the finish of a much more expensive phone, with gently rounded corners and a brushed aluminium-effect rear that you would swear was metal. (It’s actually plastic.) Motorola sent us the rose gold version for review, but we suspect it looks equally good in matte charcoal or blue lavender.

There’s a protective case in the box, but the G13 feels well enough made that you don’t need
