You’re probably familiar with DJI’s highly portable consumer drones, but the company also has a firm foothold in the professional arena. The new Inspire 3 is its most ambitious drone yet, aiming to satisfy the creative and technical needs of Hollywood’s demanding directors of photography.
To that end, the DJI Inspire 3 promises broadcast-quality aerial video capture for movies and television. The image quality and features on offer – notably its highly precise Waypoint Pro system, which can position the drone in space to an accuracy of 10mm – mean that it might also suit other professional roles such as surveying and inspections, alongside the company’s industrial-focused Matrice family.
