Microsoft trashed its Windows 10 promise

I would have more sympathy with Microsoft nagging Windows 10 users to upgrade to 11 if they hadn’t spent years insisting that 10 would be the final ever version of the operating system (‘Question of the Fortnight’, Issue 658, pictured). Trashing that promise with Windows 11 was bad enough, but now it looks like Windows 12 will be released before support for Windows 10 ends.

We all know the reason why they had to produce a new version – in order to sell more computers. I don’t blame them for that, but a bit more honesty would be appreciated.
