Doing their duty for Grandpa

From the moment the Prince and Princess of Wales appeared with their children outside Westminster Abbey, it was clear they would take centre stage during the Coronation celebrations. From Princess Charlotte’s mini-me Alexander McQueen gown, to Prince George’s solemn support for King Charles during proceedings, their behaviour was impeccable. Even little Prince Louis managed to sit still for most of the Coronation (with only the odd yawn and brief time out).

The crowning of their grandfather was an enormous event for the children. Even compared with past occasions, such as the Jubilee and the funeral of the Queen, it must have been confirmation, if ever it was needed, of their future roles within the Royal Family.
