Descended from a lineage of creative genius, Denver-based interior designer introduces her captivating , crafted in collaboration with the prestigious fabric house Kravet. The collection traces its origins back nearly two centuries to Watts’ great-great-grandfather’s groundbreaking invention of the iconic Tiffany glass. When Watts paid a visit to The Neustadt Collection of Tiffany Glass six years ago, she felt compelled to translate the ethereal beauty of Tiffany glass into a fresh, contemporary language. Employing watercolors and markers, she crafted a series of designs and patterns that would ultimately become the Gem Collection. A brilliant fusion of past and present, the Kravet x Nadia Watts Gem Collection marries the time-honored tradition of glass blowing with a modern, vibrant twist. A symphony of chartreuse, fuchsia, and teal, the Gem Collection’s radiant hues evoke the shimmering allure of stained glass, and the fabrics boast an array of contemporary embroideries, prints, and textures, offering both versatility and a stunning design aesthetic. “I love that I can take my great-great-grandfather’s Tiffany glass from 140-plus years ago and have it be the foundation for a fabric collection that can be used today for furniture, draperies, pillows, headboards, and more,” Watts says. A testament to her storied ancestry, the Gem Collection breathes new life into the illustrious heritage of Tiffany glass, ensuring it continues to captivate generations to come.
