SPECIAL CHARACTERS FOR YOUR WHAT A COWBOY! GANG SIDEKICKS AND MAKEWEIGHTS

In addition to buying equipment, players may choose to recruit special characters to assist their gang during the campaign. To recruit a special character, the recruitment cost must be paid. This may be made up from a contribution from each of the gang members' purses. How much each member contributes is up to them, but the recruitment cost must be paid.

Once the special character has been recruited, a retention cost must be paid at the end of each campaign turn. If this is not paid, the special character will leave, taking any benefits with it. Note: the 'Unknown Gunfighter' can only be recruited once in any campaign and will leave after taking part in one game.
