AMBOSELI TRUST FOR ELEPHANTS
In 1967, New York-based reporter Cynthia Moss took a fivemonth leave of absence to study African elephants. She met Iain Douglas-Hamilton, a pioneer researcher on elephants, who recruited her as a research assistant. Four years later, she teamed up with Harvey Croze to study elephants in Amboseli National Park, culminating in the world's longestrunning study
