Star Lesley Manville has polished off her scenes as Princess Margaret in the final series of, but she’ll be back on set for about a mining community. ‘I was on a picket line in 1984 with a group called Barnsley Women Against Pit Closures, so I know all about that strike,’ she tells me. ‘I filmed and I was very proud of it. We’re in a similar situation now where people are striking because they are not being treated fairly. Nothing changes.’
