ED GUIDO’S issue 477 feature showcasing Charlie Scicluna’s fine Ford P4 Landau hardtop and Blair Gibson’s equally impressive P5 LTD four-door sedan prompted me to add to the comments in my January 2023 column about Ford Galaxies where I made a passing reference to Ford Australia’s top-shelf duo replacing the Galaxie here in 1973.

Substituting new local prestige models for Galaxie, models based on the architecture of bread and butter Falcons andthe main ‘Broady’ Plant on the other side of Sydney Road, it could have been on a different planet.
