V-Bulls and Victory for SA Bisley South African Bisley Union, F-Class SA Open and World Championship 2023

SA Open Championship, 21 to 25 March 2023

In March, Bisley F-Class shooters from all around the world gathered in Bloemfontein at the Genl De Wet Shooting Range. The South African Bisley Union (SABU) Open Championship was a preamble to the F-Class World Championship (FCWC). Most competitors shot the SA Open Championship to become acquainted with the range conditions and method of running the matches under the iron fist of Gen. (Ret) Mac Alexander. All matches were shot at 700 m, 800 m and 900 m, also the format for the FCWC as well.

The South Africans dominated the top ranks of every match from the first shot. Various gold, silver and bronze medals swung from the necksBisley history they experienced what it felt like to only clap hands for shooters from another country.
