I received my May copy of Hemmings and was delighted to see that a “British Cars Special” headline was on the front. Guess I expected too much, as the issue might have better been titled MG Cars. No mention of most of the brands that readers would be familiar with; no mention of the only remaining truly British brand, Morgan. Perhaps another try at it with a few more car manufacturers mentioned is due?

That’s our fifth British Cars issue since 2018, and we keep doing them because they’ve proven to be popular. We definitely went heavy on MG this time, but those cars have a massive fan base and it was the brand’s 100th anniversary, after all. Back in the July 2019 British Cars Special, the 1950-’69 Morgan Plus 4 was listed among a roundup of collectible Brits. In July 2018, the 1927-’39 Morgan Super Sports made the list. We’ll do our best to not ignore Morgan in a future edition, though.
