ORIGINS OF ARCHERY: MOVING FURTHER BACK?

Homo sapiens who migrated to Europe 54,000 years ago may have introduced archery techniques to the Continent, according to a new study published in Science Advances. Researchers examined stone points and artefacts discovered at the Grotte Mandrin, a vaulted rock shelter directly overlooking the middle valley of the Rhône River in France, where they found evidence of bow hunting.
