There is a massive difference between a painting that has a strong structure and one that does not. The first catches the eye and leads to sales, the other is glanced at and passed by. It’s like having a body with a skeleton — the bones are unseen, but they hold the whole thing together and give it form. Without them a painting is limp and lifeless.
