This iconic red fungus is not only great tor photographers and artists alike, but also tor storytelling with children. The true vibrancy of the red amongst the dark, dank woods always catches the eye and inspires imagination. As I live close to woodland, I have seen many toadstools standing out like jewels against the leafy forest floor.
This subject is a simple shape to draw, it just takes a little patience as you wait tor colours to dry at the various stages of painting. You will also see how, by using Clingfilm, you are able to give just the impression of leaves surrounding the toadstools without having to paint all the detail.
Before you paint
